our mission
As a lifelong vegetarian and wellness enthusiast, Gucci has always believed high performance products, clean ingredients, and sustainable practices are not mutually exclusive. Our mission is to craft clean, high-performance products that are good for you and the planet. We maintain the same standard of transparency and integrity with our selection of packaging materials as we do with the ingredients that go inside them.

Our Recycling Program
WE MAKE IT EASY
We partner with Pact Collective to do our part in making beauty packaging more sustainable.

how it works
Step 1
Recycle what you can at home, but for hard-to-recycle pieces, Pact Collective is here to help. Unsure what goes where? Pact’s Drop-off Guidelines are a great place to start.
Step 2
Rinse out your empties and ensure they are squeaky clean. Products that aren’t properly cleaned will not be recycled.
Step 3
Give us a few details via the form on our website and we’ll send you a shipping label in 24-48 hours. Don’t worry––we’ve got you covered on the shipping.
Step 4
Pack up your items, pop on your shipping label. Send your empties on their way. Pact will handle the rest!
Frequently Asked Questions
We are members of Pact Collective, a group of beauty industry stakeholders taking responsibility for our packaging. Pact is a non-profit organization working to make beauty and wellness packaging more sustainable while closing the loop on our hard-to-recycle packaging.
Through a network of collection programs and recycling centers, Pact sorts and finds the best future use for the materials collected.
A lot of packaging can and should be recycled at home. It is important to check with your local recycling center but generally speaking, cardboard, metal, most glass, and larger plastic items (#1, #2, and #5) can be recycled curbside.
Items that are made of multiple materials or are on the smaller side–like a Beauty Butter Powder Bronzer compact, for example–are deemed too difficult to recycle in municipal recycling facilities and often end up in landfills. These items can be given to Pact via local bin dropoff or via our complimentary mail-back program. With Pact, these hard-to-recycle items are sorted by hand.
Review Pact’s Drop-Off Guidelines to ensure your empties are recycled properly.
No worries! You can create your label with us! Your label will be emailed within 48 hours.
Once you’ve cleaned your empties, you can package them in any box you have available. Place 5-10 clean, Pact approved hard-to-recycle beauty packages from any
brand in a box (no larger than 6”x6”x3”) or envelope (no larger than 8”x12”).
PLANET-FORWARD PRACTICES
In collaboration with the most innovative labs, artisans, and technologies, we are in constant search for the newest eco-safe materials. We work outside convention, pushing the envelope with our manufacturers, challenging them to reimagine what sustainability can be. Although we proudly acknowledge our commitments, we know our work to be more sustainable is never complete. We are dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint.

OUTER PACKAGING
All of our secondary packaging is recyclable. Our cartons are made with Invercote board which has one of the lowest carbon footprints of any paperboard available. Our e-commerce boxes, brush boxes, and shopping bags are made from recycled content; our tissue paper is made of 60-70% post-industrial fiber and 10% post-consumer fibers.
