When the celebrity makeup artist Jenn Streicher relocated from Los Angeles to Pound Ridge, New York last fall, she didn't have plans to open a buzzy new beauty boutique. But it wasn't long before she settled into the charming town, located 80 minutes upstate from New York City and a quick drive from longtime client Emily Blunt, that she felt the tug of a familiar calling. Streicher, a sought-after Hollywood talent who co-founded L.A.'s cultish Striiike beauty studio with sisters Kristie (a celebrity brow expert) and Ashley (a celebrity hairstylist) in 2010, knows the power of a well-curated product lineup.
Fast forward to June of this year, when she opened the doors to Scout, her first solo venture. "I really love the idea of bringing the very best of the clean beauty brands into one perfect little space," she says of the jewel-box boutique, which is dedicated to her unique edit of responsibly made skincare, makeup, and haircare products. Each one is cherry-picked by Streicher, who values beautiful textures, pro performance, and safe ingredients.
In today's video, Gucci drops by for an insider tour of Streicher's in-store essentials and favorites: There's a pressed setting powder that tones down shine, a resurfacing glycolic gel that jumpstarts cells, and a pair of Westman Atelier multi-taskers that are skin-boosting staples in her kit. Rest assured: If you're nowhere near upstate New York, everything is available at the boutique’s smartly designed online shop. Now get scouting.
