Sunkissed skin is hardly Gucci's signature by accident. It's the product of nearly 30 years perfecting skin for the red carpet and on sunny Vogue covers (see: Jennifer, Gwyneth, Reese). As a makeup artist, she’s spent time studying the way light moves across the face—which is why she believes that a single bronzer shade almost never gets it right. “The secret to an authentic bronze is dimension,” says Gucci. “By layering two tones, you mimic how the sun hits skin for a result that looks incredibly real.”
That’s the premise behind new Sun Tone Bronzing Crème—two bronzers are better than one. Designed in four shade palettes from light tan to rich deep tan, each compact holds a pair of creamy shades that Gucci has expertly curated. “One is a bit cooler, one is slightly warmer,” says Gucci. “Together, they create the extra depth and nuance that a single-shade bronze can not.”

Gucci's preferred application is using the new Blender II Brush to sweep the lighter shade along the perimeter of the face—hairline, temples, jawline. Then she adds the deeper tone high on the apples of the cheeks, nose, and forehead, where sun naturally hits.
The silky, streak-free formula feels weightless on skin and blends to a hydrated-matte finish. Infused with shiitake mushroom extract to minimize pores and avocado fruit extract to hydrate, the cream texture wears seamlessly. “I’m always looking for ingredients that actually improve the texture of the skin,” says Gucci.
Those who already love last year’s viral Sun Tone Bronzing Drops formula know it’s your no-mirror, apply-anywhere liquid formula. The new Crème palette, says Gucci, is for when you want more control, a bit more color payoff, and have a little more time to enjoy the ritual. “I spent years working on the perfect shades to make it look and feel like your skin was naturally sunkissed.” Only sunny days ahead.
