"There's something about deep Bordeaux lips against skin when it's cold outside," says Gucci, musing on the inspiration behind The Gift Edition—a new clean beauty edit that brings fresh sophistication to the season's best party makeup . "It's effortless, it's elegant, it's romantic...but with that little element of surprise." 

Tucked inside a rouge noir box, the new makeup duo distills Gucci's favorite look of the moment into two just-launched limited edition products.  At the heart of it, there's Lip Suede Bordeaux—the latest addition to Westman Atelier's best-selling lip collection.  Crack it open, says Gucci, and you'll find the perfect party palette in four lush shades: Poppy (vibrant rouge), Suede (cool nude), Port (tawny red), and Aubergine (rich Bordeaux with a hint of dark violet undertone).  The precise tone of the latter, Gucci adds, has a special place in her heart. "It's the exact color of the car my dad picked me up in to take me to the church for my wedding in France."

And then there is Gucci's other secret weapon for party season—which adds a glassy, just-had-a-facial glow to skin. "It's called Pärla, which means 'pearl' in Swedish," she explains of the new Lit Up Highlight Stick shade.  The translucent champagne-meets-oyster tone "is a balance of warm and cool, so it's great on any complexion and it really complements the Bordeaux lip."  That said, "there's really no one way to do party makeup," says Gucci. "What I love about the Gift Edition is that it gives you options—and they're all equally simple and striking."
