Meet Soleil Riche—the New Beauty Butter Bronzer Shade!
Here's what's so genius about Coup de Soleil, the Beauty Butter Bronzer shade that's become such a best-seller, it's hard to keep in stock: It actually doesn't look like bronzer. "I just wanted it to look like skin," says Gucci of developing a weightless creamy powder that would vanish into the cheeks, forehead, and nose, leaving only an authentic impression of warmth and sunniness behind. "Like I'm super healthy, like I just got back from a detox!"
Today, she gives a first look at Soleil Riche, the new deep terracotta take on the original shade. "It's beautiful on tan, medium, and deep skin tones," Gucci explains, adding that on the very deepest complexions, it functions as a subtle mattifying powder and skin tone evener instead. The secret to both Beauty Butter Bronzer shades, she adds, is merging creamy plant butters (cocoa! mango seed! cupuaçu!) with biomimicry pigments (a clean technology that locks in hydration and mimics elements of the skin). "And absolutely no shimmer," she says of wanting a formula that looked like a second skin.
