The "Eye Love You" Edition Drops Today—Here's What's Inside
"It's everything you need for a festive, effortless eye look in one little box," says Gucci, reflecting on the inspiration behind the "Eye Love You" Edition—a new collection of exclusive Eye Pods shadows, pitch black mascara, and (yes!) smudgy kohl eyeliner out now in a limited drop.
To do the trick, Gucci designed a novel Eye Pods Trio that brings a subtle "pop of light" to the lids— courtesy of her refined and subtle approach to glitter as an editorial makeup artist.
Inside the palette's magnetic pots, "there's Smudge, a rich matte neutral brown that gives natural definition or beautiful smokiness all over the lid," Gucci says. Swept over the entire eye, it also makes a striking base for Mink, the trio's cool taupe shade with slivery iridescence, which she taps onto the center of the lid next. "I don't usually love the way shimmer looks on me," Gucci says, "but this one is so pretty, so subtle, so chic." A final golden champagne shade called Fête gleams subtly when dusted near the tear duct.
A touch of Eye Love You Eye Pencil in Khôl Noir, our smudgy first-ever kohl liner, adds dimension. "I waited forever to get this without silicones," says Gucci of the smooth, super-blendable formula, which she blends into the upper lashes or along the waterline. "And it looks even better when it's a little worn in." A few sweeps of Eye Love You Mascara—in its limited edition champagne packaging—delivers pitch black fluttery lashes. Translation: 2023, we're ready for you.
